Choosing
Which one should I buy first?
The 14 cm Cereal Bowl, in fours, for everyday eating. If you cook more than you serve, the Nesting Set of Three.
Which bowl for soup?
The 16 cm Soup Bowl holds about 800 ml to the brim, a generous serving. The Cereal Bowl works for a smaller one.
Which one should I not buy?
The Large Basin, if your dishwasher's lower rack is narrower than 32 cm and you do not want to wash it by hand. And any of them, if you need something for the microwave.
Is enamel safe to eat from?
Yes. Vitreous enamel is glass fused to steel. It does not absorb food, smells or colour, and food touches only the glass.
Will it chip?
It can, if it is dropped hard on its rim. The steel will not break. A chip is cosmetic provided you dry the bowl so the exposed steel does not rust.
Using and caring
Can it go in the oven, on the hob, in the microwave?
Oven, yes. Hob, over a low gas flame to warm food through, never empty. Microwave, no.
Is it dishwasher-safe?
Yes. Hand washing keeps the gloss longer. The 32 cm basin will not fit every dishwasher.
There is a dark speck on the rim. Is that a fault?
No. The rim is where the steel edge is rolled and the enamel is thinnest, and small specks there are part of how enamelware is made. A chip showing bare steel on arrival is a fault; send a photograph.
Ordering and delivery
Where do you ship?
The United States and most countries worldwide, from Hong Kong. If your country is available at checkout, we ship there.
How much is shipping?
United States: Standard $6.95, free on orders of $60 or more; Expedited $16.95. Everywhere else: Standard $16.95 or Expedited $32.95. Full detail in the Shipping policy.
How long does delivery take?
We dispatch within 2–4 business days. United States: 8–14 business days standard, 5–8 expedited. Rest of world: 10–20 standard, 6–10 expedited. Customs can add time we cannot predict.
Will I pay import duties?
Possibly. Duties and taxes depend on the country the parcel enters. They are not included in our prices and, if charged, are collected by the carrier or customs.
Can I change or cancel an order?
If it has not shipped, yes. Email the order number and we will cancel and refund it in full. Once it is with the carrier we cannot recall it, but you can return it.
Returns
Can I return something?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery if it is unused. Email us first. The Refund policy has the details.
